About Remi
Rémi was born in Hauts-de-France, North of France and studied at the University of Reims, the City of Champagne. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Foreign Language, Literature and Civilization. Then he graduated with a Certificate of Teaching and he became a primary school teacher. In 2013, he decided to make Australia his home where he became a French tutor then a French teacher working in different language schools on the Mornington Peninsula and near the city. He worked with children to VCE students to adults with different levels from beginners to intermediate to advanced. Rémi also does translations. He translated an Australian movie into French and translated some scripts for the audio guide. Rémi travelled extensively around France and is very familiar with the geography of France. He is knowledgeable about his home country and likes to share stories about history, politics, cinema, cuisine and culture. Rémi is very friendly, patient, competent and passionate. He makes the students feel comfortable and more and more confident with their French language. Each lesson is an immersion in the French culture. It is a way to learn and to have fun at the same time. Rémi moved to Cranbourne in 2019 and decided to create “Je parle français”. He teaches at home or at Mount Martha and sometimes has the lessons in local cafés or restaurants. All of his students enjoy his way of teaching and his lessons have been described as “a pure moment of joy and happiness”. |
